WHITELIST REQUIREMENTS
Overall Whitelist Requirements
To apply for whitelisting, you must meet all of the following baseline requirements. These are non-negotiable unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Age Requirement
You must be 18 or older. The only exception is a minimum age of 17 for applicants with verifiable qualifying experience.
Experience Requirement
You must be an experienced vMenu-based roleplay player with a minimum of 6 months of active experience. You are expected to already understand the basics — spawning and customizing peds, vehicles, and other common vMenu functions — without guidance or hand-holding.
Game Ownership
You must own a legal copy of Grand Theft Auto V.
Technical Requirements
You must have a capable PC and a stable network connection. FMRP is a resource-heavy environment. Frequent lag, texture loss, or persistent graphical issues that disrupt roleplay are not acceptable.
Audio Requirements
You must have a quality microphone and a developed voice.
Leave It at the Door
This community is built as an escape. Your real-world baggage stays outside. Read more below.
Leave It at the Door
Florida Man RP operates on one foundational principle: leave it at the door.
This community was built to be an escape — a place where the noise of the real world doesn't follow you in. Your politics, your personal beliefs, your opinions, your background, your struggles — none of it belongs here. Not because those things don't matter in your life, but because this isn't the place for them. When you log in, you're stepping into a world that exists purely for creative roleplay and the connections that come with it.
This standard applies to everyone equally. There is no special treatment, no adjusted expectations, and no carve-outs for anyone. Every member enters this community on the same level and operates under the same expectations. That's what makes it work.
If something in your personal life or emotional state regularly influences how you engage with others in social settings, this community may not be the best fit — and that's okay. It's not a judgment. There are many great communities out there, and we'd rather you find the right one for you than struggle in one that isn't.
Who May Want to Look Elsewhere
This is not a blacklist — it's an honest heads-up based on years of community experience. To be crystal clear, we genuinely do not care about any of the stuff on this list. We will never ask you about it, bring it up, or make it a thing. The only thing we care about is whether you can leave it at the door, show up, and RP without making it your personality. That's it. If you can do that, none of the below matters one bit.
If any of the following describes you, we strongly encourage you to explore other communities before investing time in our onboarding. Not as a judgment, but because history has shown us these situations tend to make leaving it at the door genuinely difficult — for you and for everyone around you.
You have been diagnosed with or are managing a Neurodivergent disorder (including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder) that affects how you process or engage in social environments.
You are experiencing or have a history of gender or personality dysphoria, or are actively navigating a social or medical transition.
You are currently managing severe or treatment-dependent anxiety, depression, or mood disorders — particularly if it requires ongoing medication, therapy, or results in frequent disruptions to your daily functioning.
You have a history of psychosis, Bipolar Disorder, or Cluster B personality disorders (including Borderline, Narcissistic, Antisocial, or Histrionic).
You have experienced thoughts of self-harm or suicidal ideation in the recent past and are still in an active recovery or treatment phase.
You have a current or recent history of substance dependence or are in active rehabilitation for drug or alcohol use.
You generally have difficulty maintaining mental or emotional coherence in fast-paced, unstructured social environments.
Exceptions
None of the above is meant to scare you off. If you can genuinely leave it at the door and show up ready to RP, you belong here. We don't ask about your personal life and we never will — the only thing that matters is what you bring to the roleplay.
The only formal exception to any baseline requirement is the minimum age of 17 for applicants with qualifying experience.
