FMRP CORE VALUES
Every group has a culture. Whether you build it on purpose or let it grow on its own, it will exist—good or bad. And if you don't define it, someone else will. So we're choosing to define ours.
Culture is more than rules or expectations. It's how people feel when they're part of something. It's the internal reputation of our community—what people say about it when we're not in the room. At FMRP, we're going to be clear about who we are, what we stand for, and what kind of behavior builds up the community—not tears it down.
We do not tolerate drama here at FMRP. If this is your personality, you will be removed.
LOOK FOR SOLUTIONS, NOT PROBLEMS
We don't tolerate people who consistently look for problems. Yes, things will happen and we want people to bring concerns up in the correct channels. But as a community we work together to find solutions for the greater good. If we can't meet your expectations or you're unhappy with our environment, there are other options out there like LSPDFR or whitelisted servers for ruleplay and complete control. Nobody has a god given right to play Florida Man RP.
🎙️ BASELINE STANDARDS
You must have a normal, developed voice—no squeakers, no voice changers, no nonsense. You must live in the U.S. or Canada, have a working mic, and speak fluent English. We expect a basic level of social and mental competence. If you're not capable of holding a conversation like a normal adult, or if you're constantly bringing confusion or distraction to scenes, this isn't the place for you. We're not a therapy group, and we're not here to accommodate delusions or disorders that interfere with RP. And while we're at it—don't dick ride staff, content creators, or owners. It's weird. Just act normal.
BELIEVE IN THE MISSION
Everyone here is part of the solution and is happy to be here.
QUALITY OVER QUANTITY
We'd rather have 10 real ones than 30 people who don't care. Every character, every scene, and every interaction matters.
MATURE MINDS, CREATIVE SPIRITS
We value quality RP. Yes, we do plenty of priorities and calls that involve fleeing or criminal interactions with LEO—but that's not what this place is about. If it's all you know how to do, you offer no value to FMRP. Don't waste your time here. Respect the rules, don't look for RP—create a story, work with other members, and above everything have fun! Get creative, check out tyrones-builds, civ-rp-ideas, and our other resources. We pack so much into this server and are free and loose when it comes to what you can and can't do.
🚫 NO GOSSIP – IT STOPS HERE
One of our non-negotiable values: we don't gossip. Gossip is when you take a problem sideways (to other members) or downward (to people outside the community) instead of up to leadership where it can actually be handled. It's toxic, kills morale, breeds drama, and divides teams.
If you've got a problem—whether it's with a person, a rule, or something that's frustrating you—bring it to someone who can actually fix it. Venting in group chats, side DMs, or in-game behind someone's back? That's gossip. You will be removed and not welcomed back. This isn't about being harsh—it's about being safe from gossip.
PATIENCE IS KEY
We are a growing server. We only have a few people able to help with onboarding and pushing things forward. Please have patience with applications, trainings, dev requests, and general tickets. We get to reports very quickly, but everything else takes time.
COMMUNITY FIRST, ALWAYS
No matter your role, experience, or background—if you treat people with respect and bring something good to the server, you belong here. Intent is what we use to base all our disciplinary actions. If you have good intentions, we can help you learn. If you don't give a fuck, neither will we.
FOR OUR LEO:
LEAVE ROOM FOR RP & CREATIVITY
We will uphold the laws BUT we want to allow as much freedom as possible and NOT inject ourselves into civ on civ RP where they clearly don't want LEO interaction. LEOs are the backbone of RP at FMRP. Lead with professionalism and creativity, and the server will follow.
Our LEO is REQUIRED to be polite, professional, and choose to de-escalate. There will be no power dynamic bullshit—we are here to protect and serve. We will tell you exactly why we pulled you over, talk in a calm tone, be the bigger person, identify ourselves with name and badge number if asked. Every interaction matters and the expectation is to make it positive. Safety first—we aren't here to win chases or rack up kills.
FOR OUR STAFF:
START WITH INTENT
Intent is what we use to base all disciplinary actions. We are here to be helpful and protect those who are here to do the right thing. We're happy to ban someone for not being a good fit if they're intentionally ruining fun or breaking rules. But for those here to do the right thing who may break a rule unintentionally, we will address it after RP to coach them.
SERVE OUR PLAYERS
We treat our people as they would want to be treated. I'm not talking about trolls or "bad fits"—I'm talking about our team, those choosing to play here when there are so many other options.
OWNERSHIP MENTALITY
"I don't work here, I just own the place" is Josh's latest catchphrase. Everyone who wants to be part of our core team is expected to contribute and get shit done. Know your role and do your part. Work together to come up with solutions.
This is who we are—and if you want to be part of the "we," this is how we do it. FMRP management has the right to remove anyone who isn't a good cultural fit and deny applications for those who aren't a good cultural fit.
